In a very short period of about 14 years Jamia
Hamdard has emerged as one of the most important centres of learning in
Delhi. Moreover, its accreditation by National Accreditation and
Assessment Council (NAAC), which has given it ĎAí grade, has resulted in
massive influx of students to its faculties. University has scaled new
heights as it offers one of the best faculty, research infrastructure
and student amenities in India. University receives generous support
from Hamdard National Foundation which was set up by its founder, Hakeem
Abdul Hameed Sahib for promotion of education amongst the most needy and
poor section of the society. University also receives partial support
form Government agencies. However, all this is not enough. In order to
strengthen our academic activities we need moral as well as financial
support from our well-wishers. We are happy to inform that many
well-wishers and friends of our mission have come forward to join hands
with us. Fifteen scholarships have been constituted out of the
contributions received from generous contributors (see the list given
It is also important to enlighten you at this
juncture that most of the students who join our university are not from
very sound financial background. Many of them study here on loans from
banks and other sources. A small contribution for them will go a long
way in easing out their financial difficulties. We try to help them out.
University has created Student Aid Fund. A number of students
have been benefited with this fund.
We will be happy to receive contribution from our
Alumni, Well-wishers, Corporate World, Governmental and Non-governmental
Organizations (NGOs) and Charitable Organizations from all over the
world. Rest assured, contribution would be utilized for meaningful
purposes. Names of students and his/her academic progress will be
intimated to the contributor, if wished so.
