Majeedia
Hospital is a recognized hospital in the modern and the Unani system of
medicine. It houses 150 beds for the patients. In one year about 84,000
patients are attended in the OPD. One of the major achievement of the
Hospital is the establishment of 6 bed well equipped Intensive Care Unit
(ICU) for the patient care. OPD attendance is on the increase every year. Free
OPD facilities are provided to University Students and to the teaching
and Non-teaching staff and their family members. The hospital has
registered an overall improvement in respect of facilities and health
care. The hospital also caters to the training of the students of Faculty
of Medicine (Unani) and Faculty of Nursing. Free health-check-up camps are
also organized by the Hospital. The following facilities are available::

The Dialysis Unit of
Majeedia Hospital was established and founded by Hamdard National
Foundation. The unit is fully air conditioned with all facilities like
Cardiac Monitor, Defribillator, Pulse Oximeter etc. The unit has two
imported Heamodialysis machines. The patients are assessed by a Sr.
Consultant in Nephrology. The procedures are conducted under the
supervision of a consultant (Medicine). A |

qualified Dialysis Technician and a
nurse are available round the clock whenever the dialysis is on. |

The unit also
provides facilities for emergency dialysis both in the unit itself as
well as in the ICU of the hospital. Sr. Consultant in Cardio-thorasic
And Vascular Surgery carries out surgical procedures like making
Fistula etc. Services of a Sr. Cardiologist are available for
procedures like insertion Catheter in Subclavian vein and Internal
Juglar and Femoral Veins. |
