About National Seminar - 2017

Cloud computing is the bleeding-edge technology in IT industry, today. It joins the ranks of Virtualization, grid computing and clustering, among others, in the IT industry. Depending on different point of views, the definition of cloud computing can be quite different. Depending on different perspectives, a person can look at it from a business point of view or an application point of view, as well as others. This has created confusion on the definition and a fuzzy view as to what cloud computing is or even does. Leveraging third-party computing capability over the network is a good way to cut costs, increase scale, and improve agility. The concept of cloud computing involves a data center somewhere in the world, or even multiple data centers scattered around the world. This is a paradigm shift from the historical client-server architecture where the network users owned, maintained, and operated their own network infrastructure, server rooms, data servers, and applications.

The objective of the seminar is to provide a unique opportunity to the participants from academia and industry to discuss the concepts, applications, challenges, and discuss prospects for future implementation of Cloud Computing.

The seminar will cover various Applications of Cloud Computing.
