Department of Computer Science accounts its credibility and its standing on the shoulders of its competitive and hard working students. Under the aegis of Hamdard University, the Department of Computer Science has a tradition of organizing a national level IT fest “NERDZ” annually. Each year the festival congregates the brightest IT brains from all over the country. This IT fest is spread over a span of two days and comprises of various technical, non-technical and cultural events.

Last time Nerdz 2005 was organized on 12th and 13th February. Mr. Satish Koshal, Delivery Center Head, TCS inaugurated it. The Guest of Honor was Mr.Saif Ahmad, President & MD, Xavient Technologies.

The festival has been a grand success with overwhelming response of universities and colleges from all over the country. Hyderabad University, AMU, DU, JNU, Kurukshetra University, HNB Gharwal University and JMI, to name a few.
