Textiles and Nonwovens Development Center (TANDEC), located on campus of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is a cooperative multimillion dollar project as a result of the partnership between ExxonMobil Chemical Company and The University of Tennessee. It features several advanced melt blown pilot lines, a meter wide spunbonding line, and many other processing and test facilities designed to make truly an international nonwovens research center.
