Prof. M.A. SIKANDAR
Director, Centre for Distance and Online Education, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi
Prof. M.A. Sikandar (formerly Registrar, Jamia Hamdard) has taken over as the new Director, Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Jamia Hamdard with effect from April 18, 2025.
Prof. Sikandar has a very vast experience in university administration and higher education. Before joining as Director, CDOE, he served as the Registrar, Jamia Hamdard, Associate Professor in MANUU, Hyderabad and the Registrar, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Delhi. He was also the Director of the National Book Trust, India (Ministry of Education) from 2011 to 2015.
Academically, Prof. Sikandar holds an MBA Degree in Human Resource, M.A. in Labour Studies and LL.B from the University of Delhi, with Ph.D. in Commerce and Business from Jamia Millia Islamia.
He has authored over 30 research papers in the National and International Journals. Prof. Sikandar travelled to over 20 countries to represent the National Book Trust, India in the International Book Fares.

Dr. Md. Mumtaz Alam, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Jamia Hamdard is the Deputy Director, CDOE with effect from 28.10.2021.
