Dr. Jinku Bora is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Technology at Jamia Hamdard, a position he has held since May 2018. Prior to this, he served as a Lecturer in the same department from 2015 to 2018, where he played a pivotal role in developing the B.Tech. Food Technology program, including curriculum design and course regulation drafting. His earlier professional experience includes working as a Quality Control Officer at the Food Corporation of India and serving as a part-time Academic Counsellor at IGNOU since 2015.
Dr. Bora earned his Ph.D. in Food Engineering and Technology from Tezpur University, where his research focused on the isolation and modification of starch from Dioscorea cultivars grown in Assam. He holds an M.Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology (Gold Medalist) from Tezpur University and a B.Tech. in Biotechnology from Rajasthan Technical University. An active researcher and mentor, Dr. Bora supervises undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, guiding projects that integrate practical applications with research in food technology and safety. He has authored more than 30 research publications in reputed journals.
