Message from the Head, Islamic Studies

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Islamic Studies. Our department is committed to providing quality education, promoting academic excellence, and fostering a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings, history, culture, and civilization. We strive to cultivate critical thinking, ethical values, and a spirit of research among our students while encouraging intellectual inquiry, innovation, and mutual respect.

Our dedicated faculty members are committed to creating a vibrant learning environment that integrates classical Islamic scholarship with contemporary academic perspectives. Alongside our Discipline Specific Courses (DSCs), the Department offers Multi-Disciplinary Courses (MDCs), Ability Enhancement Courses (AECs), Value Added Courses (VACs), and Skill Enhancement Courses (SECs) in accordance with the NEP 2020.

The implementation of these courses is also in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Implementation of Integrated and Embedded Courses and Micro-Credentials in Alignment with NEP 2020 at Jamia Hamdard. These courses aim to enhance students' employability, nurture leadership qualities, and prepare them to meet the evolving demands of academia, public service, and other professional fields.
