Jamia Hamdard begins the new year with an exciting collaboration! An MoU was signed with the Apollo Hospitals Educational & Research Foundation (AHERF) during the visit of Professor NK Ganguly, President of AHERF. Together, we aim to advance learning and research.
VISIT OF MEXICAN DELEGATION
A delegation from Mexico, through the Embassy of Mexico in India, consisting of Dr. Sonia Mayra Perez Tapia, Executive Director, UDIMEM & Researcher-Professor, Department of Immunology, Juan Carlos Almagro, Director for Research, Biotherapeutic Research and Development Unit, Victor Manuel Tellez Lopez, Director of the Center for Research on Applied Science and Advances Technology (CICATA-Morelos) and Laura Arreola Mendoza, Secretary for Postgraduate Studies and Research visited Jamia Hamdard today (31.03.2022). The delegation was received by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, Prof. (Dr) M. Afshar Alam.

Arif Zaidi, Dean, School of Unani Medical Education and Research, Prof. Suhel Parvez, Foreign Students Advisor, Prof. S. Raisuddin, Advisor (Research), Prof. M.Z. Abdin, HoD, Biotechnology, Dr. Noria Farooqui, Deputy Foreign Students Advisor, among others, were present during the meeting with the delegation.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor gave a Power Point Presentation about the University and especially the research undertaken in the School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, School of Chemical and Life Sciences, School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Technology and had given the details of Patents filed, research activities undertaken with the Government Institutions and also with the public and private sectors. The delegation was briefed about the Unani System of Medicine and the hospital attached with the Majeedia Unani Hospital and also about the Allopathic Hospital situated in the University. The Research Labs of various departments were shown to them.
Dr. Laura Arreola Mendoza, Secretary for the Postgraduate Studies and Research offered two positions of Researchers of Jamia Hamdard in their Institute and also showed her interest in setting up a Chair also. The delegation discussed details of the areas where they can have a MoU with Jamia Hamdard. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor showed his interest in the Faculty/Research Exchange Programmes.
A Letter of Intent between National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), Mexico and Jamia Hamdard was signed by the Registrar and Dr. Laura Arreola Mendoza. It was further agreed to executive MoUs between the two Institutes.
CCIFS Signs MOU with Jamia Hamdard to offer industry-oriented diploma and certificate courses in Forensic Science, Forensic Nursing and Cyber& Digital Forensics
We are thrilled to announce that today the MOU signing ceremony was held at Jamia Hamdard where the Centre for Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science (CCIFS) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Jamia Hamdard, a renowned institution accredited with an 'A' grade by NAAC. The ceremony was held in the presence of Dr. M. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard, Dr. M.A Sikandar, Registrar, Jamia Hamdard, Dr. Tabish Sarosh, Director, CCIFS, Ms. Kirti Gupta, Manager, TSA & CCIFS, Ms. Laxmipriya Dash, Forensic Associate, CCIFS, Ms. Arpita Sharma, Head, CCIFS and Ms. Akansha, Forensic Associate, CCIFS.
This association will bring specialized forensic science education to aspiring students and professionals across India through four new comprehensive courses.

Diploma in Forensic Science (1-Year Program)
Certificate Course in Forensic Science (3-Month Program)
Certificate Course in Forensic Nursing (3-Month Program)
Certificate Course in Cyber and Digital Forensics (3-Month Program)
Also the innaugral of the CCIFS( Facilitaion centre ) at Jamia Hamdard , administrative building, Delhi was held in the presence of Mr. Shaukat Mufti, Executive Secretary, Hamdard Learning & Welfare Society.
With these courses, CCIFS and Jamia Hamdard aim to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in forensic science and cyber forensics. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience guided by experienced forensic experts and faculty members.
New Delhi, March, 07: Jamia Hamdard and Dalhousie University, Canada signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish an academic and research cooperation between the two Universities. The MoU signing ceremony took place on March 6, 2023, at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi India. The objective of the MoU is to establish a collaborative Research & Degree program for the Nursing students of School of Nursing & Allied Health, Jamia Hamdard.
The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi and Mr. Matt Hebb, Vice President (Govt. and Global Relations), Dalhousie University, Canada.
Addressing the audience at the signing ceremony, Prof. M. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard, stated “All The academic programs at Jamia Hamdard are designed to prepare students to become global citizens. Both the institutions are motivated to take this collaboration further and engage in students training and innovative research aimed at addressing social needs”.
Echoing the sentiments, Mr. Matt Hebb, Vice President (Govt. and Global Relations) Dalhousie University, Canada said “The coming together of these two institutes of international repute will further increase the quality of research, education and opportunities for students and help them become global citizens”.
